Scottish stand-up Connor Burns is giving his second hour-long special, Gallus, a staggered release across three platforms — starting with an exclusive window on Gorilla Comedy+ on 3 August 2026, before arriving on YouTube and Prime Video on 1 September 2026 (Deadline).

The staggered window means Burns' comedy special debuts first on one platform — Gorilla Comedy+, the streaming service run by 800 Pound Gorilla, the production company behind the special — before becoming available more widely a month later. Burns confirmed the 3 August date on his Instagram account the day before the trade announcement (Instagram).

The title, Gallus, comes from Scots dialect meaning "bold, daring and reckless" — a word that also fits the trajectory of Burns' live show, which broke box office records at the Glasgow Comedy Festival and sold out extensive UK and Australian tours plus an Off-Broadway run in New York, according to Deadline. Burns recorded the special at Glasgow's King's Theatre earlier in 2026.

This is Burns' second collaboration with 800 Pound Gorilla, which also released his debut special Vertigo. That first show had its own milestone: Burns sold over 10,000 tickets at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival for the live version of Vertigo. The Gallus show marks his fourth solo tour and earned him a Forth Fringe Award (Deadline).

Burns is already looking ahead. He will tour a new live show called Flow in autumn 2026, including a stop at the Edinburgh Playhouse during the Fringe, where he recently added a third performance due to demand (ATG Tickets). The show also featured at Paisley Comedy Festival earlier this year (Instagram).

For fans, the release schedule offers a clear choice: catch Gallus early on Gorilla Comedy+ or wait a month for wider availability on YouTube and Prime Video. Either way, a comedian who spent 2026 breaking box office records in Glasgow will reach screens before the summer ends.
