Lionsgate CEO Jon Feltheimer's Pay Nearly Doubled to $19.4 Million — Three Months After Contract Extension to 2031

Lionsgate CEO Jon Feltheimer received $19.37 million in total compensation for the studio's fiscal year 2026, nearly double the $9.82 million he earned the year before, according to an annual proxy statement filed with the US Securities and Exchange Commission in July 2026 (Deadline).
The filing comes three months after Lionsgate renewed Feltheimer's CEO contract through 2031, an extension confirmed in April 2026 (Deadline). A proxy statement is the annual document a publicly traded company must file with regulators to tell shareholders how much its top executives are paid — and to invite them to vote on certain matters at the annual meeting.
Feltheimer's package for the fiscal year, which ended in March 2026, breaks down into three reported pieces: $1.5 million in salary, $6.5 million in cash bonus, and $10.68 million in stock awards. That bonus quadrupled from $1.5 million the prior year. The stock portion included roughly $4.4 million tied to the equity component of his fiscal 2025 annual incentive bonus (Deadline).
One figure stands out: the three itemised components add up to $18.68 million, but the headline total is $19.37 million — a gap of roughly $690,000. The Deadline report does not list an "All Other Compensation" line or any additional category beyond salary, bonus, and stock awards that would account for the difference (Deadline).
The proxy was filed by Lionsgate Studios Corp., a separate SEC registrant from the older Lions Gate Entertainment Corp. — the corporate restructuring that split the studio into its own publicly traded entity (SEC EDGAR).
Feltheimer was not the only executive whose pay moved in the filing. Vice chair Michael Burns saw his total compensation fall to $4.66 million from $7.72 million the prior year. CFO James Barge received $6.29 million. COO Brian Goldsmith earned $5.23 million. EVP and general counsel Bruce Tobay received $4.49 million (Deadline).
For context, Feltheimer's $19.37 million package places him well above every other named executive in the filing. Burns, the next-highest-paid, took home less than a quarter of that total.
Lionsgate has set its annual shareholder meeting for 15 September 2026 and will report its first-quarter fiscal 2027 earnings on 6 August (Deadline). The proxy disclosure gives shareholders a clear view of what the studio's leadership cost in a year that included a long-term contract extension for its top executive — and a near-doubling of his pay.
