Australian electronic producer Ninajirachi and American electronic artist Porter Robinson have released their collaborative single "WannaCry," a track that was, according to press materials, many years in the making (Pitchfork).

The song's title refers to the 2017 WannaCry cyberattack, a global ransomware campaign that crippled hundreds of thousands of computers across 150 countries. Press materials confirmed the naming, as reported by Pitchfork on 28 July 2026.

The collaboration carries a personal thread. The first concert Ninajirachi attended as a teenager was a Porter Robinson show at Sydney's Enmore Theatre. Robinson, who released his last album Smile! :D in 2024, joined Ninajirachi onstage during her Coachella set on 10 April to debut the new collaboration live for the first time (Billboard).

Ninajirachi, whose debut full-length album is titled I Love My Computer, has announced select North American headlining shows beginning in September. Those dates will be her first headlining run on the continent.
