Universal Studios will turn 45 years of Ozzy Osbourne's solo career into a haunted house this autumn, bringing the Prince of Darkness into Halloween Horror Nights at both its Hollywood and Orlando parks.

The attraction, titled "Ozzy Osbourne: Prince of Darkness," is the 10th haunted house announced for the 2026 edition of the annual scare event, which runs from 28 August through 1 November (Orlando Sentinel). It is part of Halloween Horror Nights' 35th anniversary season (Billboard).

Universal describes the house as a "living horror movie" that transports guests through Osbourne's solo career. The two coast locations take different approaches. The Hollywood version starts with Osbourne's early childhood and ends at the "Osbourne Asylum." Orlando sends guests through ancient ruins and dungeons before a "Crazy Train" ride inspired by album covers (Billboard).

Music from six Osbourne solo albums plays inside the house: The Blizzard of Ozz (1980), Diary of a Madman (1981), Bark at the Moon (1983), No More Tears (1991), Scream (2010), and Ordinary Man (2020) (Billboard).

Sharon Osbourne confirmed that no items from Ozzy's personal archive will be used in the attraction (Billboard). The house is a Universal creative production, not a museum exhibition.

Osbourne died on 22 July 2025, at age 76, weeks after Black Sabbath's final concert on 5 July 2025 (Billboard). The haunted house arrives roughly a year after his death.

Universal has drawn on rock music for Halloween Horror Nights before. In 2013, Universal Studios Hollywood featured a Black Sabbath-inspired 3D maze that incorporated Tony Iommi's riffs, Ozzy Osbourne's vocals, and Geezer Butler's lyrics (PR Newswire, 2013). The following year, Slash composed the first-ever original score for a Horror Nights maze, for an attraction called "Clowns 3D" (PR Newswire, 2014).

The 2026 lineup also includes haunted houses based on Evil Dead, Hellraiser, Stranger Things season 5, Sinners, and several original-concept houses (Billboard).

For fans, the Osbourne house offers something the Sabbath maze did not: a full solo-career retrospective set to walk through, from the 1980 debut that launched his post-Sabbath path to his 2020 comeback album. Six records, two parks, and one very specific kind of Halloween tribute.
