OzzFest Returns in 2027 at Birmingham's Villa Park
OzzFest is coming back. The festival's official Instagram page confirmed on 17 August 2026 that the touring rock event will return in 2027, with the edition set for Villa Park in Birmingham, England — the 42,000-capacity home of Aston Villa Football Club Billboard.
Sharon Osbourne, who created OzzFest in 1996 after Lollapalooza turned down her attempt to book Ozzy Osbourne for a show, confirmed that negotiations with Live Nation were under way for the 2027 event Billboard. The festival's official social channels posted that "more info on everything" is coming soon Facebook.
The choice of venue carries a direct connection to the Osbourne story. Ozzy Osbourne grew up in the Aston area of Birmingham, and Black Sabbath — the band he co-founded with Tony Iommi, Bill Ward and Geezer Butler in 1968 — formed in the same city. Villa Park also hosted the Black Sabbath and Ozzy Osbourne farewell show, "Back to the Beginning," in July 2025 Billboard.
OzzFest ran annually across the United States and Europe from its founding until 2008. After that it became sporadic, with its most recent physical edition held in 2018 at The Forum in Inglewood, California — nearly eight years ago Billboard. A virtual edition was announced in July 2022, promoted as the first in-person festival to enter the metaverse Ozzfest.com.
Event dates and the lineup for the 2027 edition have not yet been shared Billboard. The Ozzfest.com homepage currently lists Ozzy Osbourne, Motorhead, Megadeth, Black Label Society, Skid Row, The Raven Age and Britoff as confirmed festival acts, though it is unclear whether those names apply to the 2027 event or reflect older listings on the undated site Ozzfest.com.
For fans, the Villa Park booking places the festival's return on the same ground where Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath said goodbye just over a year earlier — and in the neighbourhood where the whole story began.
