AS Roma Appoints Fashion Executive John Galantic as CEO and Names Dsquared2 as Official Fashion Partner

AS Roma appointed John Galantic as its new chief executive officer on July 29, 2026, and on the same day announced a multiyear partnership with Dsquared2 to design the club's formalwear and casual uniforms — pairing a lifelong fan with luxury-fashion pedigree to run one of Italy's most storied football clubs.
The Italian club, owned by the Friedkin family under American businessman Dan Friedkin, confirmed the appointment in an official press release. Galantic is an American-Swiss national of Italian origin and a lifelong AS Roma supporter, according to WWD. He takes the reins as the club approaches its centennial in 2026 and returns to the Champions League, European football's premier club competition, for the 2024–25 season.
Galantic arrives with a deep résumé in luxury fashion. He previously served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Chanel Inc., leading strategy and commercial operations across the house's fashion, cosmetics and other divisions, according to a club document. He joined the Italian leather-goods brand Tod's as CEO in September 2024 and quietly left that role in May of this year. He has also served on the board of Ferrari, the Italian luxury sports-car manufacturer, WWD reported.
The second announcement on the same day gave AS Roma a new look off the pitch. Dsquared2, the Milan-based label founded by twin brothers Dean and Dan Caten, became the club's official fashion partner under a multiyear deal. The brand will exclusively design formalwear and casual uniforms for AS Roma's men's and women's first-team players, coaches and staff, with the new kits set to debut starting with the 2026/27 season, the club confirmed in a separate press release.
For fans, the partnership means the people on the touchline and in the tunnel will be dressed by a house that has dressed runway models for decades — and the timing ties the new look to the club's hundredth birthday.
Michael Gandler, AS Roma's chief business officer, is responsible for the club's commercial operations alongside the incoming CEO. Dan Friedkin, who serves as chairman and CEO of the Friedkin consortium — a group with interests spanning automotive, luxury hospitality, sports and entertainment — acquired AS Roma in 2020.
The dual announcement places a fashion-literate executive at the top of a club preparing for a landmark year, with a fashion brand outfitting its players as the centenary approaches.
