Shaboozey Brings 'Cowgirl' to Fallon With a Western Bar Set and a Surprise Guest

Shaboozey performed his single "Cowgirl" on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on July 30, 2026, with Summer House star Ciara Miller making a surprise appearance midway through to dance on stage. The performance aired on the eve of the rapper-singer's new album, The Outlaw Cherie Lee & Other Western Tales, which is scheduled for release on July 31, 2026, per its official Spotify listing. Miller also appears in the official music video for "Cowgirl," connecting the Fallon moment to the song's wider visual world. The late-night stage was dressed as a Western bar, complete with a neon-style sign bearing the album's title — a hint at the record's larger concept.

That concept is ambitious. The album is described as a Western about revenge, told continuously through every song and centred on a character named Cherie Lee. Shaboozey has cited Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill and Jackie Brown as inspirations for the strong female protagonist at the story's core. The record explores themes of revenge, redemption, and romance through her eyes, and was several years in the making. (Rolling Stone)

The featured guest list spans genres: Kehlani, Gunna, Leon Bridges, and Orville Peck all appear on the album. Shaboozey teased the features in an Instagram post on July 21, 2026. A D2C (direct-to-consumer) exclusive vinyl edition was made available for pre-order through EMPIRE's official store — a format increasingly used by labels to sell directly to fans rather than through traditional retail.

The road follows close behind. Shaboozey's Outlaws Never Die Tour begins September 8 in Phoenix and runs through the end of October.

Shaboozey first announced The Outlaw Cherie Lee & Other Western Tales on Instagram on April 20, 2026, with Billboard reporting the news the same day. The album has been available for pre-save on Spotify ahead of its July 31 release. The official YouTube video of the Fallon performance is published on the @FallonTonight channel. (Billboard)

For fans, the Fallon slot doubles as a launch party. One night on television, then the album arrives, then the tour.
