Slayyyter Self-Directs 'Brand New Chanel$' Video, Completing a Trilogy Nod to Her Earlier Work

Slayyyter released her new single "Brand New Chanel$" on 31 July 2026, accompanied by a self-directed music video that jumps between a high school football field, an artsy desert compound and the interior of a trailer — and ends in fireworks. Rolling Stone confirmed the release and the video's details.

The video also gives Slayyyter a Las Vegas showgirl costume at one point, and pays direct homage to two earlier items in her catalogue: the music video for her previous song "Beat Up Chanel$" and the cover artwork for "Wor$t Girl in America," her third LP. Her first two albums are "Troubled Paradise" and "Starfucker."

Slayyyter had already given the song its first live airing three days earlier. On the opening night of her WOR$T GIRL IN THE WORLD Tour, she debuted "Brand New Chanel$" onstage, as Billboard reported on 28 July. She had officially announced the single via her Instagram account @slayyyter the same day, posting that it would be "out friday" — pointing to the 31 July release. A teaser clip followed on her official YouTube channel on 30 July. The full video, also posted to her YouTube channel, had roughly 4,300 views shortly after going live.

Rolling Stone describes the track as "lovelorn," and Slayyyter told the magazine that the broader album project draws from a specific emotional place. "A lot of this album comes from feeling like the annoying girl who's being a little too much at a party, or feeling like you don't fit in with people," she said.

Slayyyter was also scheduled to perform at Lollapalooza in Chicago around the time of publication, placing the single's release squarely inside a busy touring window.

For fans, the "Brand New Chanel$" video functions as a visual callback: the title, the football setting and the styling all connect dots to earlier Slayyyter material, rewarding viewers who know the prior videos and artwork while still standing as a standalone clip for everyone else.
