Harry Styles slipped on a rain-soaked stage floor during his second night at GNP Seguros Stadium in Mexico City on Saturday, Aug. 1, and kept singing from the ground before getting back to his feet.

The fall happened during the opening of the show, while Styles performed the song "Are You Listening Yet?" according to Billboard, which witnessed and reported the moment. Styles recovered quickly, continuing to sing even as he was still on the floor.

Heavy rain had been sweeping through the eastern part of Mexico City earlier in the evening, forcing organisers to delay the concert for safety reasons. Hundreds of fans in the stadium's uncovered General A and B sections scrambled to find shelter while the weather passed. Opening act Jorja Smith did not perform at all, according to Billboard, owing to the conditions.

Once the show got underway, Styles addressed the crowd of approximately 68,000 attendees — a figure reported by Billboard citing promoter Ocesa — with a shout of "¡Viva México!" and thanks delivered in English. Local authorities reported no major incidents related to the concert.

The Saturday performance was the second of a six-concert residency Styles is holding at the stadium. He opened the run on Friday, July 31, and the series continues on Tuesday, Aug. 4, with remaining dates on Aug. 7, 8 and 10, Billboard reported.

Mexico City is one of seven cities worldwide that Styles chose for 2026 performances. It is the second Latin American stop on the route after São Paulo, Brazil, and the city hosting the largest number of concerts in the region, according to promoter Ocesa. Billboard's report embedded a link to a post on X showing the moment of Styles' fall, and The Straits Times published a TikTok video capturing the same slip.

For the roughly 68,000 people who waited through the rain, the reward was a show that refused to stop — even when its star was briefly horizontal.
