Warner Music Group reported on Monday, Aug. 3 that its quarterly revenue rose 10% to nearly $1.9 billion, released on an accelerated timeline that pulled the numbers forward from a planned Aug. 6 report. The figures cover the company's fiscal third quarter, which ended June 30, 2026. Billboard

The announcement comes just days after a leadership shake-up. Chief financial officer and chief operating officer Armin Zerza stepped down effective immediately on Friday, July 31, for personal reasons, according to Reuters. Chief accounting officer Louis Dickler was named acting CFO, and Warner Records co-chairman and COO Tom Corson was appointed COO of Warner Music Group in addition to his label role. Billboard

The revenue growth was driven by digital performance across both sides of the business. Recorded music revenue rose 10% to roughly $1.5 billion, with streaming revenue up 12% to just over $1 billion. Music publishing revenue grew 12% to $377 million. Total digital revenue climbed 11% to about $1.25 billion. Billboard

Within recorded music streaming, the paid subscription tier grew 12% and ad-supported revenue grew 10%. Music publishing digital revenue rose 15% to roughly $235 million, the fastest-growing segment WMG disclosed. Billboard

The profitability picture was sharper than the top line. Operating income grew 80% to $305 million. Adjusted OIBDA — operating income before depreciation and amortization, a profitability measure that strips out non-cash charges — rose 16% to $433 million. Cash flow from operating activities more than tripled, growing by $96 million, or 209%, to approximately $142 million. Billboard

WMG recommitted to its existing financial targets: high-single-digit consolidated revenue growth, double-digit growth in adjusted OIBDA and adjusted earnings per share, and 50–60% operating cash flow conversion. The company said it expects adjusted OIBDA margin to increase at the high end of its 150–200 basis point target for the fiscal year ending Sept. 30. A basis point is one-hundredth of a percentage point. Billboard

The quarter continues a growth streak. In the prior quarter ended March 31, 2026, WMG reported total revenue of $1.73 billion, up 12.1% year-over-year, with net income of $181 million compared to $36 million in the same quarter a year earlier. Before that, the fiscal first quarter ended Dec. 31, 2025 brought in $1.8 billion. Warner Music Group; Yahoo Finance

Full financial results are now scheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 5, with an earnings conference call at 4:30 p.m. in New York. WMG's stock was up 0.67% at $26.14 around 10:13 a.m. on Monday. Billboard
