Luke Combs has become the first solo country artist to headline London's Wembley Stadium, with Guinness World Records confirming the milestone after his three shows there on 31 July and 1–2 August 2026. The 90,000-capacity venue had never previously booked a solo country act as a headliner, according to Billboard.

The three Wembley dates closed out the 23-show run of Combs' My Kinda Saturday Night tour, which began in Paradise, Nevada, in March and moved across North America and Europe. In the fortnight before Wembley, Combs also headlined two nights at Ireland's Slane Castle and two nights at Edinburgh's Murrayfield Stadium. The Wembley shows were presented by iHeartCountry, according to Absolute Radio Country, with the third date described by promoter AEG Presents as the "third and final show added."

Country acts have a long history at the adjacent 12,500-capacity Wembley Arena (currently named the OVO Arena Wembley), including Kenny Rogers, Clint Black, Kane Brown and Jordan Davis. But the stadium next door is a different scale of booking entirely. The Eagles played Wembley Stadium in June 2019, with Vince Gill — a Country Music Hall of Fame member — filling in for the late Glenn Frey, though that bill was an Eagles headline, not a solo country set. Guinness World Records noted that Taylor Swift, who played eight Wembley Stadium shows in 2025, "has long been considered a pop (and briefly folk) artist," ruling her out of the solo-country designation.

Combs' UK chart history has been climbing in parallel. He has now placed three albums inside the UK Official Albums Chart top 10: Growin' Up (No. 9 in 2022), Gettin' Old (No. 5 in 2023) and The Way I Am (No. 4 in 2026). The UK's appetite for country music has been visible across the 2026 calendar. Zach Bryan headlined London's BST Hyde Park for two nights in July. The C2C Festival — Country to Country, the annual country-music festival that brings American acts to European arenas — returned to The O2 in London in March.

Wembley Stadium's 2026 concert calendar is crowded. The Weeknd brings the After Hours Til Dawn Tour on 14, 15, 16, 18 and 19 August, according to the venue's help centre. Bon Jovi, Bruno Mars and My Chemical Romance are also booked, the last of those bringing the Long Live The Black Parade Tour. A travel-partnership announcement from National Express and Wembley Stadium in January listed all five headliners by name.

For country music in the UK, the Wembley booking is a further sign of the genre's expanding footprint beyond the arena circuit it has long occupied. For Combs, it caps a 23-date tour with three consecutive stadium nights in a city where, not long ago, country headliners played rooms a fraction of that size.
