Star Trek: Legends to Be Delisted August 20, Goes Offline September 3

Star Trek: Legends, a turn-based role-playing game based on the iconic sci-fi franchise, is being shut down. Developer Tilting Point confirmed the news in an update posted on the game's Steam page addressed to players. The game will be removed from all digital storefronts on August 20, 2026, and its servers will go offline on September 3, 2026. (VGC)
Players who already have the game downloaded before the August 20 delisting can keep playing until the September 3 shutdown. After that date, Star Trek: Legends will no longer be playable at all — a standard pattern for online-dependent games whose servers are switched off.
The console versions of the game — released on PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch in December 2024 — were recently quietly delisted ahead of the broader shutdown. All remaining versions across PC and mobile are now set to follow.
Star Trek: Legends has had a relatively short run. It originally launched on Apple Arcade in 2021, arrived on PC in early 2024, and expanded to consoles later that year. The game casts players as commander of the USS Artemis, a Federation starship built to explore the Nexus — a mysterious energy ribbon that ties together characters and storylines from across the Star Trek universe. As a turn-based RPG, combat played out in rounds where players selected attacks and abilities for a crew drawn from across the franchise's many series and films.
For fans, the shutdown means the window to experience the game is closing fast. Anyone curious to try it still has a few weeks, but only if they act before August 20. After that, the download disappears for good.
