Montreal producer Jacques Greene has announced his third solo album, JG, scheduled for release on 16 October 2026. The news, first reported by Pitchfork, confirms the record will arrive via LuckyMe, the Glasgow-based independent label and collective that has released his work since his early EPs.

The lead single, 'Presence', is out now. LuckyMe released the track to coincide with the album announcement, and Rolling Stone Canada noted Greene's return to dancefloor-facing material with the single. For listeners who have followed him since the breakthrough 'Another Girl' 7-inch in 2011, 'Presence' signals a producer leaning back into the club — the space where his music has always been most at home, even as his records have drawn from R&B, UK garage and ambient electronica in equal measure.

JG runs 11 tracks and is heavily collaborative. The tracklist, as reported by Pitchfork, includes features from DJ Boring, umru, SAM-E, Ouri, Jonah Yano, SEES0000, CFCF, crushed and Sølv. That is nine guests across 11 songs, a working method that pushes the record closer to a curated conversation than a lone-producer statement. Opening track 'Closer' features DJ Boring; 'Seconds' brings in Ouri and Jonah Yano; 'Breathe' features crushed. Two tracks — 'Halation' and 'Slowly' — carry no featured artists.

The album carries the LuckyMe catalogue number LM124, according to Greene's own website. Credits listed there name Pearson Sound on mixing duties and Joker on mastering — both figures deeply embedded in UK club music, a pairing that suggests JG was built with sound systems in mind. The cover art was created by Deividas Vytautas Auščiūnas, with design by Aaron Deng.

JG arrives seven years after Greene's previous solo album, Dawn Chorus, which came out in 2019 on LuckyMe. In the interim he has not been idle: in 2025 he released a self-titled collaborative album with Nosaj Thing under the alias Verses GT, a project that sat at a slower, more atmospheric tempo than his solo club material.

For Greene, whose real name is Philippe Aubin-Dionne, the gap between solo records has always been part of the process — early EPs and singles would surface in fits and starts before consolidating into an album. The October release slots into the fourth-quarter schedule, the window when labels concentrate their biggest titles ahead of the holiday sales period and year-end list season.

No tour dates have been announced alongside the album. LuckyMe is taking pre-orders for the record through its storefront, with a 16 October ship date listed on Greene's website.
