Broken Lizard are back. Super Troopers 3: Farva's Wedding, the third outing for the Vermont highway-patrol comedy troupe, arrives in US cinemas on Friday, August 7, 2026, distributed by Searchlight Pictures (Deadline).

Jay Chandrasekhar directs and reprises his role as Trooper Thorny, one of the five core members of Broken Lizard — the comedy group that also includes Kevin Heffernan, Steve Lemme, Paul Soter and Erik Stolhanske, all returning here. The screenplay is credited to the troupe collectively. The film carries an R rating and runs 1 hour 44 minutes (The Hollywood Reporter).

The onscreen subtitle says it all: Farva's Wedding. The plot centres on Farva — the chaos-prone officer played by Heffernan — whose over-the-top Indian engagement to Thorny's sister Sarita spirals out of control after he rescues her from a burning car. The cast expands well beyond the core five. Nat Faxon, Chace Crawford and Andrew Dismukes join the ensemble. Marisa Coughlan returns as Ursula, a friendly cop. The franchise has covered some ground since then.
