Rainn Wilson, best known as Dwight Schrute from The Office, provides the voiceover for a New Zealand romantic comedy series called Settling, which premieres on Three and its streaming platform ThreeNow on August 6, 2026. The series airs Thursdays at 8.30pm on Three in New Zealand PressReader, Wairarapa Times-Age.

Settling follows two disillusioned 30-somethings who carry out a pact to enter a platonic marriage — not for love, but to satisfy the expectations of family and society. The show is billed as a contemporary relationship series blending comedy and drama. It stars Hannah Marshall and Pax Assadi, who also wrote the series themselves Deadline.

The production comes from South Pacific Pictures, a New Zealand-based production company that was part of All3Media and, following All3Media's merger with Banijay, now sits within the Banijay group of businesses. Kelly Martin is Chief Executive of South Pacific Pictures. The series was commissioned by Tina McLaren, Sky New Zealand's Commissioning Editor, for the free-to-air network Three and its streaming counterpart ThreeNow Deadline.

International rights to Settling are held by All3Media International, which will bring the series to the global market — meaning audiences beyond New Zealand could eventually find it on a platform or channel near them.

For Wilson, the voiceover role adds a New Zealand credit to a career built largely on American television and film. For South Pacific Pictures, a production house behind long-running New Zealand dramas, it is another locally commissioned series heading to the international market with a recognisable Hollywood name attached.
