Stassi Schroeder's new reality series House of Stassi climbed to the No. 1 spot on Hulu's TV chart in its first week, landing at No. 2 across all titles on the streamer including film. The show held a place in the top six of Hulu's daily TV ranking across its opening week, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The series launched with a two-part premiere on July 29, airing from 9 to 11 p.m. ET/PT on Freeform, Fubo, Sling and Hulu + Live TV before streaming on Hulu (The Hollywood Reporter). Schroeder, an executive producer on the series, also promoted the premiere on Instagram, announcing the Freeform air date and the next-day Hulu drop (Schroeder's Instagram).

Schroeder spent eight seasons on Bravo's Vanderpump Rules before departing in 2020. Hulu's official series page describes House of Stassi as following her attempt to reclaim her pop culture status while confronting her past and a turbulent inner circle (Hulu). The streamer's guide page identifies her as a television personality, bestselling author, podcaster, wife and mom (Hulu).

For all the viewership momentum, Schroeder told The Hollywood Reporter that only one former Vanderpump Rules castmate congratulated her on the show's success: Tom Schwartz. No one else from her former Bravo circle reached out, she said (The Hollywood Reporter).

The road to House of Stassi ran through another show entirely. Schroeder said she had already pitched the series to Hulu before signing onto season two of Lisa Vanderpump's Vanderpump Villa, a 10-episode Hulu series that premiered on April 24, 2025 (The Hollywood Reporter). One of her conditions for boarding Vanderpump Villa was that her own show be greenlit. Both projects were announced together in August 2024 (The Hollywood Reporter).

Schroeder said breaking the fourth wall was central to House of Stassi because she wanted to make "the realest possible show." During her time on Bravo, she said, she was not allowed to acknowledge that they were filming a show. The new series pulls that barrier down. In one storyline, her husband Beau Clark opens up about feeling stuck at home running the household while Schroeder is the breadwinner. The show also follows Schroeder's friend Taylor Strecker and Strecker's wife Taylor "Teddy" Donohue, who was pregnant with their first child during filming (The Hollywood Reporter).

Schroeder's reality ambitions are not stopping at one series. Her Instagram bio lists Vanderpump Villa season 3 as premiering on April 16 on Hulu (Schroeder's Instagram).

For fans, the appeal is straightforward: a familiar face on a new platform, with fewer rules about what the camera is allowed to see.
