Cam'ron has threatened to leak an unreleased song and disclose personal information about unnamed members of Cardi B's team, claiming they failed to honour a deal tied to a remake of his 2000 track 'What Means the World to You'.

The rapper made the threats during a segment titled 'People Gotta Leave Flee Alone!' on his REVOLT talk show 'Talk With Flee', as Billboard reported on 7 August 2026. He said Cardi B's team had approached him a couple of years earlier to contribute a verse and a hook — the sung refrain that anchors a rap track — for a new version of the song. Cam'ron agreed, but not for money alone. He asked for an interview on his show in return, a swap he said mirrored an arrangement he previously made with J. Cole.

The remake never surfaced. Cam'ron said he was told the project was dropped after the lukewarm response to 'Imaginary Playerz', Cardi B's flip of Jay-Z's 'Imaginary Players' on her sophomore album 'Am I the Drama?'. According to Cam'ron, some listeners disliked hearing her flow over a '90s-style beat, and that reaction prompted her team to shelve the 'What Means the World to You' remake as well.

Cam'ron was blunt about where he places the blame. He said the dispute has nothing to do with Cardi B herself and that he has no issues with her. His frustration is directed at the people on her team who, he said, made promises on her behalf that they could not keep, Complex and XXL reported on 6 August.

The threats themselves were specific. Cam'ron said he would leak the unreleased song he recorded for Cardi B unless he received the interview he says was promised. He also threatened to disclose personal, risqué information — including text messages — about the team members involved, unless he received payment or the interview. He suggested he may turn the segment into a recurring feature, airing out people with what he called bad business practices each week on his show.

For Cam'ron, the core complaint is straightforward: a deal was struck, his work was delivered, and the other side did not follow through. He said the experience left him questioning why her team made commitments they apparently could not keep, HotNewHipHop reported.

Neither Cardi B nor her team has publicly responded to Cam'ron's claims as of 7 August 2026.
