Infanta Sofia Borrows Queen Letizia's Stella Jean × Desigual Dress for Mallorca Family Dinner

Infanta Sofia of Spain, 19, stepped out in Palma on Friday evening wearing a blue and white off-the-shoulder dress that her mother, Queen Letizia, first wore to the 2023 Balearic Island Reception at the Marivent Palace — and her older sister, Princess Leonor, borrowed in August 2025 (Hello! magazine).
The dress is a collaboration between Italian-Haitian designer Stella Jean and the Spanish brand Desigual. Infanta Sofia styled it with white flat espadrilles from Calzados Picón, a Spanish shoemaker based in Mallorca. Princess Leonor's take on the same dress last year paired it with gold earrings and navy blue sandals.
The family gathered for dinner at the Mia Restaurant in Palma on the weekend of 8–9 August 2026, during their annual summer holiday on Mallorca, where they are staying at the Marivent Palace, the Spanish royal family's summer residence on the island. King Felipe arrived escorting Queen Sofia — his mother — wearing white trousers and taupe loafers. Queen Letizia came alongside her close friend Jean Henri Fruchaud in a sleeveless white midi dress with embroidered detailing. Princess Leonor, 20, wore a halterneck maxi dress with a blue, turquoise and pink print (Hello! magazine).
Photos of the dinner were credited to Getty Images, which also hosts a separate image (ID 1413502656) showing Princess Leonor, Queen Letizia, Queen Sofia and Infanta Sofia leaving a restaurant in Palma de Mallorca (Getty Images).
This is not the first time the Spanish royal sisters have shared their mother's wardrobe. Princess Leonor previously borrowed a summer dress from Queen Letizia featuring abstract animal designs, worn off the shoulders, in a look covered by Hello! magazine in August 2025 (Hello! magazine). The Mallorca summers have produced several of these moments: at 16, Infanta Sofia wore a $119 backless cutout dress for a night out on the island in August 2023 (Hello! magazine), and Queen Letizia herself wore a £30 off-the-shoulder gown to the Balearic Society event in August 2022 (Hello! magazine).
What makes this particular dress stand out is the hat-trick: the same Stella Jean × Desigual piece has now been worn by three members of the royal family across three consecutive summers, each styled differently. For followers of royal fashion, it is a small but vivid illustration of how a single garment can carry a family's summer tradition — from a palace reception to a restaurant table in Palma.
