Louisa Krause is set to star alongside Dakota Fanning in an untitled Apple TV+ thriller from creator and showrunner Alex Cary, according to a Deadline exclusive published on 10 August 2026.

The series stars Dakota Fanning as an undercover Treasury agent who becomes conflicted between her mission and her growing belief that her principal target — the heir apparent to a corrupt multinational conglomerate — is, at his core, a good man. Krause's specific role is being kept under wraps for now Deadline.

Krause is best known for playing the lead role of Anna in The Girlfriend Experience. She also had recurring arcs on Showtime's Ray Donovan and Billions. Up next: a series-regular spot in Netflix's upcoming series The Body, and she recently wrapped production on the indie feature Here Kitty.

The untitled thriller comes from Sony Pictures Television and was first confirmed by Apple TV+ in an official announcement in January 2026, which described the project as a new thriller starring and executive produced by Fanning and created by Emmy Award winner Alex Cary Apple TV+.

Cary serves as creator, showrunner, and executive producer under his overall deal with Sony Pictures Television and his FLW Productions banner. An overall deal, in plain terms, means a studio pays a writer-producer to develop projects exclusively for that studio rather than shopping each show around individually.

The previously announced cast is stacked: Stellan Skarsgård, Daryl McCormack, Grace Gummer, Joely Richardson, and Susan Kelechi Watson are all on board. Kari Skogland, whose directing credits include The Handmaid's Tale, will direct and executive produce.

Behind the camera, the executive producer bench runs deep. Julie Gardner executive produces for Bad Wolf America. Elle Fanning, Dakota Fanning, and Brittany Kahan Ward executive produce for Lewellen Pictures, Dakota Fanning's production company — meaning both Fanning sisters are involved on the producing side, though only Dakota appears on screen in the lead.

No premiere date has been announced. Apple TV+ has not yet disclosed the episode count.
