Actor David Zayas is set to star opposite Dakota Fanning in a new Apple TV thriller, Deadline reported on 23 October 2026. The series does not have a title yet. Zayas will appear in it, but his character has not been revealed.

The show centres on Fanning as an undercover Treasury agent working inside a multi-billion-dollar international conglomerate, which is a company that owns many businesses across several countries. Apple first announced the project in January 2026, saying it had landed a thriller created by Alex Cary, an Emmy Award winner. Cary is writing the series, will run its writers' room as showrunner, and is also an executive producer, meaning he helps oversee the show from start to finish. He works under an overall deal with Sony Pictures Television, a multi-project contract, and through his own company, FLW Productions.

Sony Pictures Television is the studio behind the series. Julie Gardner is also an executive producer, working for Bad Wolf America. Elle Fanning is an executive producer alongside her sister Dakota and Brittany Kahan Ward of Lewellen Pictures. Kari Skogland will direct the series and serve as an executive producer.

Zayas joins a cast that was already known. Stellan Skarsgard, Daryl McCormack, Grace Gummer, Joely Richardson, Susan Kelechi Watson and Louisa Krause were announced earlier. Together, the names make up the ensemble around Fanning's agent.

Zayas is also a familiar face to fans of another crime drama. He was announced to return as Angel Batista in Showtime's Dexter: Resurrection Season 2, reprising a role from the original Dexter series. That means he will be working on two crime-themed shows at once.

For viewers, the news is still early. A cast list is a first step, and a show needs a broadcast or streaming date before anyone can watch it. Apple has not yet set a premiere, and no episode count has been announced. What is known is who is making it, who is on screen, and what the central premise is.

What happens next is the usual path for a show at this stage. The production team will shoot the episodes, then Apple will decide when and how to release them. Until then, the series remains an untitled project with a confirmed star pairing.
