Vic Mensa has launched a new podcast, The Vic Mensa Show, with Chance the Rapper lined up as the first episode's special guest. The series premiere is set for 26 August, according to Billboard.

Season one runs 24 episodes, released weekly on Wednesdays. The show is produced in partnership with Mass Appeal — the media company and record label founded by Nas — and through ORANJ, Mensa's own multidisciplinary production company. Episodes will be available on Spotify, Apple and YouTube.

The guest list for the first season spans music, film, literature and commentary. Alongside Chance the Rapper, confirmed guests include R&B singer Durand Bernarr, rapper Rapsody, screenwriter and producer Lena Waithe, poet Aja Monet, and journalist Van Lathan Jr. Billboard reported the full lineup on 11 August.

Mensa and Chance the Rapper share a long creative history rooted in Chicago's hip-hop scene. Mensa appeared on Chance's 2025 album Star Line, and the two have collaborated on recordings and live performances over the past decade. Landing Chance as a debut guest gives the podcast an opening conversation between two artists whose careers have been intertwined since their early mixtape days.

The Vic Mensa Show builds on the rapper's earlier Orange Tree video series, which won a Webby Award — the honour recognising excellence in online content. The new podcast expands that format into a longer-form interview show.

Mensa's most recent studio album, Victor, was released in 2023. The podcast launch adds a media production credit to a résumé that already spans music, activism and visual work through ORANJ.

For listeners, the show offers a structured weekly schedule across three major platforms, with a guest roster that mixes established and emerging voices across several creative fields. The 26 August premiere on Spotify, Apple and YouTube will mark the first of 24 Wednesday instalments.
