Vic Mensa lines up four-city Innanetape shows as mixtape reaches streaming

Vic Mensa will celebrate his debut mixtape Innanetape with four small-room shows in London, Los Angeles, Chicago and New York, starting Oct. 12.

The run is tied to a streaming milestone. Innanetape arrives across streaming platforms for the first time on Sept. 30, Billboard reported.

Four cities. Four small rooms. The dates are organised as an intimate series built around the early project rather than a full arena tour.

Mensa opens at Village Underground in London on Oct. 12. He then travels to the United States for three dates: Blue Note in Los Angeles on Oct. 24, Garcia's in Chicago on Oct. 28, and Blue Note in New York on Nov. 10.

Innanetape first appeared in 2013, when Mensa was 19. A mixtape, in hip-hop terms, is a longer collection released outside the usual album cycle, often first shared free online rather than sold as an album.

This one has never been widely available on streaming until now. That has limited how new listeners could find it. The Sept. 30 release changes that, putting the full project on the subscription services most fans use daily.

Fans can register interest now at innanetape.com. The site offers a pre-save, a function that adds a release to a listener's library automatically once it goes live. The link was shared in a social video confirming the Sept. 30 date.

For fans, this means two things. The streaming edition makes the early songs easier to hear in full, in order, without hunting for downloads. The live shows offer a chance to hear that material in close quarters, with London first and then three American cities through late October and early November.

Details on tickets, prices and on-sale times have not yet been made public in the confirmed reports. The venues named are club-sized rooms, a different setup from large theatres and arenas, with shorter sightlines and smaller crowds.
