Roger Taylor Shares 'I See You Now' Solo Single Ahead of September Album
Roger Taylor has released "I See You Now," the second single from his forthcoming solo album Violence Insane in a Beautiful World, accompanied by a black-and-white music video (Rolling Stone).
Taylor, best known as the drummer and co-songwriter of Queen, described the track as a love song and a tribute to his wife, Sarina Taylor. The video was created by Sarina Taylor herself alongside Simon Lupton, Taylor's long-time collaborator.
The album, Taylor's seventh solo release, is set for 18 September via Columbia Records. The track listing includes "I See You Now," "Chump," "Spit In His Eye," "Jealous Guy," "Come On Summer (It's Party Time)" — which features the Ndlovu Youth Choir — and "A Great Big Beautiful World (reprise)," among other tracks (Roger Taylor Official).
On "I See You Now," Taylor handles nearly every instrument himself: lead and backing vocals, drums, bass, electric guitar, piano, and keyboards. Joshua J. Macrae contributed additional keyboards (Roger Taylor Official).
To support the album, Taylor will play a short U.K. tour starting in Newcastle on 21 September — three days after the record drops. The run includes stops in Edinburgh, Birmingham, Manchester, Swansea, and London (Rolling Stone).

For Taylor, the solo catalogue now stretches back across seven albums, a body of work that has run parallel to his decades with Queen. The new record's title alone signals the range he tends to chase on his own — political edge, personal reflection, and a choir feature all sitting on the same track listing.
