Tony Iommi has announced his new solo album, From the Dark, set for release on October 23, 2026 through BMG. The lead single, "World Alone," is out now.

Iommi is, of course, best known as the guitarist and founding member of Black Sabbath, the Birmingham band whose downtuned riffs in the early 1970s are widely cited as the foundation of heavy metal. From the Dark adds to a solo catalogue that has grown in fits and starts alongside his Sabbath work — most notably the 2000 album Iommi, which featured guest vocalists across its tracks. BMG, the Berlin-based music rights company, continues its pattern of signing legacy rock artists.
