Drake Promises Cosplayer Pinkchyu a House for Her Mom After Picking Her as His 'Wife' on Stake Livestream

Drake told a cosplayer he would buy her mother a house after selecting her as his "wife" during a 20-vs-1 speed-dating segment on his Stake 9th anniversary livestream, and her mother's reaction has since gone viral.
On Saturday night, 8 August 2026, Drake hosted Stake's anniversary livestream on Kick, the streaming platform. During the broadcast he ran a 20-vs-1 dating competition in which twenty contestants vied for his attention. The rapper picked Pinkchyu — a Twitch streamer and cosplayer who lists her name as Lin Lamar on Instagram — as his "wife," granting her the top prize: whatever she wanted. She asked for a house for her mother's retirement. Drake replied, "Oh yeah, I'd love to," according to Complex.
The most widely shared moment of the stream came when Pinkchyu, having just met Drake, got him to bark on command — a clip that circulated quickly across social platforms. She later posted an Instagram reel boasting about being Drake's type, captioned "Can you blame em."
On Tuesday, 12 August 2026, Pinkchyu posted a video showing her mother's reaction to the news. "The first thing that came to mind was everything you've done for me and my sisters, and he's gonna buy you a house," she told her mom in the clip, per Billboard. The post earned more than 240,000 likes on Instagram.
Pinkchyu made it to the final three of the competition alongside Jordyn Lucas and Lena the Plug. Each finalist left with a prize. Lucas was named Drake's "bestie," receiving a Hermès Kelly bag and $25,000. Lena the Plug won the "pipe" category, taking home $25,000 and a dream vacation. Pinkchyu scored the open-ended prize — anything her heart desired — and she chose a house for her mother.
The livestream adds to what has already been a headline-heavy year for Drake. In May 2026 he released three albums — ICEMAN, HABIBTI and MAID OF HONOUR — which claimed the top three spots on the Billboard 200, the chart that ranks the most-consumed albums in the United States each week.
What gives this story its pull is the contrast between the spectacle of a casino-sponsored dating game and the ordinariness of the request that came out of it. Among the Hermès bags, cash prizes and vacation packages, the winner asked for her mother to have a home.
