KATSEYE Debuts 'That Way' at Spotify Klub Show in New York, Days Before 'WILD' EP Release

KATSEYE gave 200 fans in New York the first live hearing of 'That Way' on Tuesday night, August 11, at an invite-only Spotify event ahead of their 'WILD' EP release on Friday, August 14.
The group performed as a quartet. Sophia Laforteza and Manon Bannerman are on breaks from promotional activities to focus on their mental health, according to Billboard. The four members who took the stage were Daniela Avanzini, Lara Raj, Megan Skiendiel and Yoonchae Jeung.
Spotify's Klub KATSEYE show was an exclusive fan event attended by the 200 top listeners the platform identifies as EYEKONS — the group's official fan community. The venue featured immersive, album-inspired installations alongside a five-song set that included 'That Way', 'Pinky Up', 'Animal', 'Gnarly' and 'Gabriela'. Exclusive video content from the performance will be available on Spotify later in August.
'WILD' is KATSEYE's third EP and the follow-up to 'Beautiful Chaos', which debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 — the chart that ranks the most-consumed albums in the United States each week, counting sales and streaming equivalent album units (the measure that converts plays into album sales). It was the group's first top 10 entry on that chart.
The five-track standard edition of 'WILD' runs: 'PINKY UP', 'Animal', 'Hootie Frutti', 'Bel Air' and 'That Way'. A Target-exclusive version adds a sixth track, 'Unloveu', written and co-produced by Lara Raj. The EP is also offered across multiple retailer-exclusive formats, including member-specific CD versions, a Desert Edition vinyl, and a signed vinyl priced at $29.99 on the group's official store.
The lead single 'Pinky Up' has so far peaked at No. 28 on the Billboard Hot 100. A second track, 'Animal', debuted at No. 10 on the Global 200 — Billboard's weekly ranking of the most-consumed songs worldwide — for the chart dated August 8, marking the group's first top 10 on that tally. 'Animal' was co-written with Ed Sheeran and earned 29.8 million streams and 3,000 copies sold worldwide in its first week, according to Luminate, the data firm that powers Billboard's charts.
KATSEYE is a girl group under HYBE and Geffen Records, formed through the 2023 reality competition 'The Dream Academy'. The group's official Instagram account posted a reel of the 'That Way' performance, and Billboard and E! News both published video coverage of the event.
The EP arrives Friday, August 14.
