Martin Short's Summer of Six Emmy Nominations — Spanning a Hulu Hit, a Game Show, and a Netflix Documentary

Martin Short picked up six Emmy nominations across three projects in 2026, while shooting season 6 of his Hulu series Only Murders in the Building in London this summer Deadline.

Short and Kasdan's friendship goes back decades. They made the 1987 film Cross My Heart together, with Kasdan as an executive producer who was on set every day. Steven Spielberg, another close friend of Short, sent Kasdan additional material he had on Short for the documentary Deadline.
