BTS Members RM and j-hope Trade Stadiums for Backstage at Chris Brown and Usher's Toronto Tour Stop

BTS members RM and j-hope spent a night off from their ARIRANG world tour in the audience at Chris Brown and Usher's co-headlining R&B stadium tour, catching the stop at Toronto's Rogers Stadium on August 12.

Chris Brown posted an Instagram photo on Tuesday, August 12 showing the two BTS rappers flanking him in what appeared to be a backstage area. Usher shared his own Instagram photos of the meeting the same day, and RM and j-hope were pictured meeting Usher backstage as well, according to posts dated August 13 (Billboard).

The timing worked neatly. BTS wrapped a two-night stand at M&T Stadium in Baltimore on Tuesday, Billboard reported, and were next scheduled to play the first of two gigs at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas on Saturday, August 15. That left a gap — and Toronto was the city in between.

The Chris Brown and Usher co-headlining tour, billed as "The R&B Tour," played Rogers Stadium on August 11 and 12. j-hope documented the night on his Instagram story, posting footage of Usher performing "Yeah!," the 2004 chart-topper featuring Lil Jon and Ludacris, and Brown's 2011 hit "Look At Me Now."

BTS have their own dates at the same venue coming up. The group's ARIRANG world tour is booked at Rogers Stadium on August 22 and 23, according to the band's official website and Ticketmaster listings. Tickets for the August 22 show were listed as sold out as of a search snapshot.

For fans, the crossover offered a glimpse of two of the year's biggest touring acts crossing paths mid-circuit — one on a break, the other mid-show — in a city where both are playing stadium nights within weeks of each other. Brown and Usher announced their co-headlining stadium tour for summer 2026, with tickets going on sale April 21. The pairing brings together two artists with decades of R&B and pop chart history between them.

Neither BTS's label nor the R&B Tour's promoters commented publicly on the backstage meeting beyond the social media posts. Billboard's report, published August 13, attributed the details to the Instagram posts from Brown, Usher and j-hope.

The ARIRANG tour, BTS's first full-group world tour since completing their mandatory South Korean military service, continues through the summer and early autumn with stadium dates across North America.
