Troye Sivan Taps Charli XCX and Nicole Kidman for New Single 'She's The Best' and Upcoming Album

Troye Sivan has released 'She's The Best' as the lead single from his forthcoming fourth studio album of the same name, with a surprise Charli XCX cameo and a Nicole Kidman-starring music video.
The single arrived on 14 August 2026, a day after Sivan announced the album on social media, sharing its cover art and confirming a release date of 9 October. Rolling Stone first reported the details of the single and its collaborators.
'She's The Best' was written and produced by Sivan alongside Jack Antonoff, Leland, Styalz Fuego, and George Daniel. Daniel is the drummer of The 1975 and Charli XCX's husband; Sivan had never worked with him before, according to Rolling Stone.
Charli XCX's vocal turns up in a small snippet at the end of the track. The cameo is brief but pointed, linking the single to a creative circle Sivan and Charli XCX have orbited together in recent years, particularly after their joint run during the 2024 'Sweat' tour.
Sivan said the song's anecdotes form a collage and love letter inspired by several women in his personal life, rather than a portrait of one person. The video widens that frame further: it stars Australian actress Nicole Kidman, whom Sivan first met in 2018 on the set of the film 'Boy Erased', the Joel Edgerton-directed drama in which both appeared. Rolling Stone confirmed Kidman's involvement in the clip.
'She's The Best' is Sivan's first album since 2023's 'Something to Give Each Other', released under EMI Australia and Capitol Records. That record earned Sivan his strongest chart positions and critical attention to date. The new album is his fourth full-length, following the 2020 EP 'In a Dream' and the 2023 LP. Sivan announced the title and artwork on 13 August via Instagram. Attitude and Australian Rolling Stone also reported the announcement.
For fans, the rollout signals a busy stretch ahead: a lead single with a Hollywood name in the video, a producer roster mixing familiar collaborators with a new one, and an October release that lands squarely in the fourth-quarter album rush, when labels cluster major releases before the holiday sales window. The music video and the Charli XCX feature are both likely to drive streaming attention in the coming weeks, ahead of the full album drop on 9 October.
