Tom Prior Signs with UK Agency ICM After Industry Break

Actor Tom Prior has signed with UK talent agency Independent Creative Management (ICM), according to a Deadline exclusive published on 14 August 2026. The signing follows a break from the industry for the actor, who is best known for leading the romantic war film Firebird.

Prior played the lead in Firebird, a feature about a forbidden love between a private and a fighter pilot in the Soviet Air Force during the Cold War. He also co-wrote and co-produced the film, which debuted at the BFI Flare: London LGBTIQ+ Film Festival in 2021. Beyond Firebird, his screen credits include playing Stephen Hawking's son Robert in The Theory of Everything and a supporting role in Kingsman: The Secret Service — both widely seen studio films that put him in front of large audiences early in his career.

The agency he has joined was founded by Katerina Michael, who serves as its CEO. ICM is part of the broader Independent Creative Group and represents a roster of actors including Elijah Alexander, Shane Afolabi, Nathaniel Jacobs, Eshe Asante and Erol Ismail, Deadline reported.

For a working actor, a new agency relationship is the machinery that turns craft into bookings. Agencies like ICM pitch clients for roles, negotiate contracts and shape the arc of a career — so a signing after time away signals that Prior is actively re-entering the market.
