Reggie Absolom signs with UTA after breakout in Club Kid

British actor Reggie Absolom has signed with United Talent Agency for representation in all areas, Deadline reported as an exclusive on 23 September.
The deal follows his turn as Arlo in Club Kid. Arlo is the surprise son of the lead character, Peter. He is the 10-year-old son Peter never knew he had.
Club Kid is the feature directorial debut of Jordan Firstman, who also wrote the film and stars as Peter, Deadline reported. It had its world premiere in Un Certain Regard at Cannes, the festival’s sidebar for new voices and unusual stories. The screening drew a seven-minute standing ovation.
A24 has acquired global rights to the film after a high-teens bid, Deadline reported. That means the company controls distribution worldwide. Club Kid will open in U.S. theatres in limited release on Nov. 6, a platform start in selected cinemas. It holds a 100% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes, the review-aggregate site, based on 45 reviews.
Diego Calva and Cara Delevingne also star. Paris Petitjean plays Leonora, Arlo’s late mother, and Kirby Howell-Baptiste is also in the cast.
Absolom’s other screen work includes Benny in season 2 of Silo, Apple TV+’s science-fiction series set in an underground bunker. He appears as George Gardiner in the BBC adaptation The Other Bennet Sister. He also stars opposite Daniel Ings in Dressed to the Nines from Slick Films.
He continues to be represented by B-Side Management and by Andrew Phillips at Mark Jermin Management.
For audiences, the timing is simple. A new agency team is in place weeks before a small U.S. opening puts a Cannes debut in front of wider crowds.
