The Terminal List Season 2 Sets October 21 Premiere with Chris Pratt Back as James Reece
Prime Video will release all eight episodes of The Terminal List Season 2 on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, accompanied by first-look photos of Chris Pratt returning as Navy SEAL Commander James Reece (Deadline, 17 August 2026).
Pratt originally announced the date himself at Prime Video's Upfront presentation in May, and Amazon MGM Studios confirmed it the same day in a press release. This week's update from Deadline brings the first images from the new season.
The series is based on Jack Carr's best-selling novels, and Season 2 is adapted from Carr's second book, True Believer. The story follows Reece as he battles conspiratorial forces that threaten him and those close to him.
Carr's source novels give the show a clear roadmap — each season draws from the next book in the series, which now spans multiple titles. That means fans of the books already have a sense of where Reece's story is heading.
The Season 2 cast adds several new faces alongside returning players. Tom Hopper plays Raife Hastings, Constance Wu plays Katie Buranek, Dar Salim plays Mohammed Farooq, and Luke Hemsworth plays Jules Landry. Gabriel Luna joins as newcomer Freddy Strain. The ensemble also includes Costa Ronin, Olga Kurylenko, Yul Vazquez, Martin Sensmeier, Arnold Vosloo, and Shiraz Tzarfati (Deadline, 17 August 2026).
USA TODAY had the exclusive first look at Pratt's transformed appearance for the new season, giving fans their earliest glimpse of where Reece's journey goes next.
Behind the camera, the executive producer roster is long. Pratt produces through his Indivisible Productions banner, alongside showrunner David DiGilio and author Jack Carr. Antoine Fuqua and Kat Samick produce through Fuqua Films. Max Adams and Jared Shaw round out the executive producer credits. The series is produced by Amazon MGM Studios, MRC, and Civic Center Media.
For viewers who want more of the Terminal List world before October, Prime Video is currently airing a prequel series. The Terminal List: Dark Wolf, starring Taylor Kitsch and Chris Pratt, launched its first three episodes on 27 August 2025 and is releasing new episodes every Wednesday through 24 September 2025 (About Amazon, 8 July 2025).
The October 21 drop means all eight episodes land at once — the binge-release model Prime Video has used for the franchise so far. No weekly rollout, no split halves. One Wednesday, one season, all at once.
