Prime Video Drops First Trailer for The Terminal List Season 2: Chris Pratt Goes Global
Prime Video has released the first trailer for Season 2 of The Terminal List, with Chris Pratt's James Reece trading a personal revenge mission for a globe-spanning espionage hunt. All eight episodes land Wednesday, October 21, 2026, exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories (Deadline, Amazon Newsroom).
The trailer, published on August 20, 2026, sets a striking new tone. A voiceover declares: "Before he was a fugitive, James Reece made a career out of putting terrorists in the dirt. He may be exactly what we need for this fight" (Deadline). Where Season 1, which premiered on July 1, 2022, was a psychological revenge thriller, Season 2 expands into a globe-trotting espionage story that takes Reece across the Indian Ocean, Southern and Northern Africa, the Middle East, and Europe.
The new season is based on True Believer, the second novel in Jack Carr's series of Reece novels. Reece uncovers a conspiracy that reaches from Moscow to Langley — the Virginia headquarters of the CIA — and ties into his own family's history (Deadline).
Several familiar faces return. Tom Hopper is back as Raife Hastings, Constance Wu as Katie Buranek, Dar Salim as Mohammed Farooq, and Luke Hemsworth as Jules Landry. Joining the cast is Gabriel Luna as Freddy Strain, a newcomer to the series. The expanded international cast also includes Costa Ronin, Olga Kurylenko, Yul Vazquez, Martin Sensmeier, Arnold Vosloo, Jeremy Bobb, and Shiraz Tzarfati (Deadline).
Behind the camera, The Terminal List is executive produced by Pratt through his Indivisible Productions banner, alongside writer and showrunner David DiGilio, author Jack Carr, and Antoine Fuqua and Kat Samick through Fuqua Films, plus Max Adams and Jared Shaw. The series is produced by Amazon MGM Studios, MRC, and Civic Center Media (Deadline).
The franchise is also growing beyond the main series. Prime Video has already released a trailer for The Terminal List: Dark Wolf, a prequel series, on its official YouTube channel (YouTube).
August 2026 has been the start of the show's promotional push. Deadline first reported the Season 2 premiere date alongside first-look photos on August 17, 2026 (Deadline), with Amazon's own newsroom confirming the October 21 date the same day (Amazon Newsroom). The trailer arrives three days later.
For fans who have waited four years since Reece first appeared on screen, October 21 is now circled on the calendar.
