Comedy Dynamics is releasing Dan Ahdoot's stand-up special Yes, I Am Falafel Phil on Prime Video, Apple TV and other platforms on Tuesday, 18 August 2026, according to Deadline.

The special was shot live at the New York Comedy Club, the Deadline report confirms. It marks Ahdoot's latest outing in a career that stretches across scripted television, podcasting, film and publishing.

Viewers may know Ahdoot best from Netflix's Cobra Kai, where he appeared as Anoush, or from the streaming giant's garage-comedy series The Crew starring Kevin James. His television credits also include the comedy Bajillion Dollar Propertie$, ABC's Super Fun Night, Comedy Central's Workaholics and @midnight, and Adult Swim's Your Pretty Face Is Going to Hell. He is a frequent guest on The Tonight Show.

Beyond acting, Ahdoot wrote the Lionsgate film Public Disturbance and authored the memoir Undercooked. He co-hosts the podcast Second Thought with Suzy Weiss at The Free Press. He is represented by Innovative Artists and Entertainment 360, per Deadline.

Comedy Dynamics CEO Brian Volk-Weiss described Ahdoot as a multi-talented comedian who continues to rise in the stand-up space, in comments reported by Deadline. Comedy Dynamics, one of the largest independent producers of stand-up comedy content, has previously released specials from names including Ali Wong, Jim Gaffigan and Tiffany Haddish across streaming and digital platforms.

Ahdoot had earlier teased the special on his official website, noting the project was in the works, though no release date was given at the time.

For fans, the multi-platform release means the special will be easy to find whether your default app is Prime Video, Apple TV or another digital storefront. No subscription confirmation is tied to the release — the special is being made available for purchase across platforms rather than locked behind a single streamer.

Ahdoot has built a following by weaving his Iranian-American background into his comedy, and the special's title, Yes, I Am Falafel Phil, signals that cultural material remains central to his act. The New York Comedy Club, where the special was filmed, is a long-standing Manhattan venue that has hosted comedians for decades.

Yes, I Am Falafel Phil arrives on platforms Tuesday, 18 August 2026.
