Pierce Brosnan, Don Lee and Three More Join Chris Hemsworth in Extraction 3
Pierce Brosnan, Don Lee, Joe Taslim, Chi Lewis-Perry and Siena Agudong have joined the cast of Netflix's Extraction 3, according to Deadline (Deadline).
The film is currently shooting in Australia. Chris Hemsworth returns as lead, with Idris Elba and Golshifteh Farahani already announced as co-stars. Sam Hargrave, who directed the first two Extraction films, is back behind the camera. David Weil wrote the screenplay, based on a story by Ande Parks, Joe Russo and Anthony Russo.
Who the new arrivals are playing is under wraps. The logline itself is being kept secret, which is standard practice for a franchise built on surprise set-pieces and reversals.
The Extraction films are produced by the Russo Brothers' company AGBO and Hemsworth's Wild State. They trace back to Ciudad, a graphic novel by Ande Parks and illustrator Fernando Leon Gonzalez — the source material that launched the whole series.
The casting reaches across several action traditions. Brosnan, a two-time Golden Globe nominee most recently seen in Netflix's The Thursday Murder Club and the Paramount+ series MobLand, brings Hollywood-star firepower. Don Lee is a pillar of South Korean cinema, known for Train to Busan and The Gangster, the Cop, and the Devil. Joe Taslim's credits span the Mortal Kombat films, the crime series Warrior and the Hong Kong action film The Furious. Chi Lewis-Perry, a former professional mixed martial artist, plays the antagonist Samson in Danny Boyle's 28 Years Later and its sequel The Bone Temple. Siena Agudong stars in and executive-produces Tubi's Sidelined franchise and will appear in Amazon's series adaptation of Stephen King's Carrie.
Lee's arrival comes with an extra thread. He recently signed a deal to star in Tygo, a Korean-language entry in the Extraction franchise that is now in post-production — meaning Netflix is building out the property across languages and regions, not just sequel numbers.
For fans, the new names signal a broader, more international canvas for a franchise that has already carried Hemsworth's black-ops mercenary from Dhaka to a global stage. Brosnan's presence leans toward gravitas; Lee and Taslim bring hard-action credentials from some of Asia's most physical cinema; Lewis-Perry arrives fresh from a villain turn in one of Britain's most anticipated horror revivals. None of that tells us who survives the film, of course — but the cast list alone makes Extraction 3 one to watch.
