Marvel Tokon Datamine Surfaces Rocket Raccoon, Costumes, and a Battle Pass

A datamine of Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls has reportedly turned up references to Rocket Raccoon as a future DLC character, a slate of alternate costumes, and code pointing to a Battle Pass the game does not yet have. Video Games Chronicle reported the findings on August 18, 2026, attributing the source to three screenshots posted on the forum ResetEra by a user named Neoxon, allegedly pulled from the PC version of the game VGC. TheGamer had reported the Rocket Raccoon find a day earlier, on August 17 TheGamer.
One screenshot contains a line of code reading "Kamala is delighted to see Groot and Rocket (though be careful with the look, as he's future DLC)" — taken as an indicator that the Guardians of the Galaxy sharpshooter is headed to the roster. Another screenshot appears to reveal "Legacy" and "Classic" costume variants for Hulk, Spider-Man, Green Goblin, and Dr. Doom. A third contains a long list of code for Battle Pass content — a tiered reward track where players unlock cosmetics and other items through play or purchase — which Marvel Tokon does not currently offer.
For context on the game itself: Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls is a 4v4 tag-team fighter developed by Arc System Works in collaboration with PlayStation Studios and Marvel Games, published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. It launched on PlayStation 5 and PC on August 6, 2026. It landed strong with critics, earning a Metascore of 86 on Metacritic, but its PC performance issues dragged its Steam review average down to "Mixed."
The DLC roadmap is already partly public. Marvel Tokon is set to receive four DLC characters by September 2027, including the already-announced Phoenix Cyclops, due later this year. VGC reported that if the datamined Battle Pass is implemented, it would likely launch alongside Phoenix Cyclops — tying the game's first major content drop to its first monetisation system.
For players, the datamine offers an early look at where the roster and the business model are heading — a new character, costume variants for four of the cast's biggest names, and the infrastructure for ongoing paid rewards. Datamines are not official announcements: code in a game build can reflect abandoned plans, placeholders, or content still in flux. Neither Arc System Works, Sony Interactive Entertainment, nor Marvel Games has commented publicly on the findings.
What is verifiable is the shape of the roadmap. Four DLC characters are confirmed through September 2027. Phoenix Cyclops arrives first. And if the code in those screenshots holds, Rocket Raccoon — and a Battle Pass — may not be far behind.
