Corey Hawkins Signs With Range Media Partners as His Star Keeps Rising
Range Media Partners has signed Corey Hawkins for representation, according to a Variety exclusive published 19 August 2026. The Juilliard-trained actor continues to be represented by WME, JTWAMM and Shelter PR, the same report notes — meaning the Range deal adds to his existing team rather than replacing it.
Hawkins has been building one of the most varied résumés in contemporary Hollywood, moving between blockbuster spectacle, prestige drama and the Broadway stage. His break came playing Dr. Dre in F. Gary Gray's 2015 NWA biopic Straight Outta Compton. From there he jumped into Kong: Skull Island, BlacKkKlansman and Georgetown, building a filmography that refuses to sit in one lane.
On the big screen recently, Hawkins played Polybus — a villainous suitor and right hand to Robert Pattinson's Antinous — in Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey. He also appeared in Crime 101 alongside Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo and Barry Keoghan for Amazon MGM. Other recent credits include The Man in My Basement, The Piano Lesson, The Tragedy of Macbeth and The Color Purple (Variety).
Television audiences have watched him for over a decade. Hawkins made his TV debut in the 2011 sci-fi anthology series Futurestates, then turned up in Royal Pains, Golden Boy and The Walking Dead. In 2016 he led the cast of Fox's 24 reboot, 24: Legacy. He later joined Peacock's Poker Face for its second season (Deadline).
The stage, though, may be where Hawkins has done his most decorated work. He starred as Tybalt opposite Orlando Bloom and Condola Rashad in David Leveaux's 2013 Broadway revival of Romeo and Juliet. A decade later he earned a Tony nomination for best performance by an actor in a leading role, playing Lincoln in Suzan-Lori Parks' Topdog/Underdog — a production that won the Tony for best revival of a play in 2023.
Hawkins had been with CAA since September 2023 (Broadway World). The move to Range comes at a busy moment. His next project is Nightwatching, a drama-thriller based on Tracy Sierra's debut novel, directed by Adam Schindler and Brian Netto, co-starring Mila Kunis, Clancy Brown, Mark Webber and Aaron Moten.
For a performer who shifts between a Nolan epic and a Tony-nominated stage role, the choice of representation matters. Range Media Partners, a talent management and production company founded in 2020, has built a client list across film, television and music. Hawkins adding them to his team signals an actor positioning the next phase of a career that already spans nearly every kind of screen — and the stage beneath them.
