Stephanie Hsu has signed with Range, in a deal reported as an exclusive by Deadline on 30 September.

The deal is a representation signing. That means Range joins the team that helps Hsu find work and negotiate contracts. Actors often have several representatives working at once, covering management, agency work, legal advice and publicity.

Hsu earned a Supporting Actress Oscar nomination for playing Joy, and her alter ego Jobu, in Everything Everywhere All at Once. The part made her widely known to film audiences around the world.

The film won seven Oscars including Best Picture. It earned close to $150 million US dollars in worldwide ticket sales, as reported by Deadline. The Academy Awards are voted by film industry members in the United States. A nomination for Supporting Actress recognises a performance in a secondary role.

Hsu then returned to the stage. She played Janet in The Rocky Horror Show at Studio 54 in New York, directed by Sam Pinkleton.

The run earned her a Tony Award nomination for Best Actress in a Leading Role in a Musical. The Tony Awards honour theatre work on Broadway, the well-known theatre district in New York.

On television, Hsu played Mei on The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. She shared an ensemble series Actors Award for her work on the show, an honour that goes to the full cast rather than one performer.

Her next screen roles are in animation. She voices Margot in Steps, an animated musical comedy film, alongside Ali Wong and Amanda Seyfried.

Wong voices Lilith in the film. Daniel Radcliffe and Peter Dinklage have also joined the cast, as reported by Deadline. Steps will release globally on Netflix on 20 November. A global Netflix release means the film becomes available to subscribers in many countries on the same date.

Hsu will also voice a role in the animated feature In Waves alongside Will Sharpe. It will stream on Netflix on 11 December.

She continues to be represented by CAA, Ziffren Brittenham and Shelter PR. CAA first signed her for representation in 2022, as reported by Variety.

For fans, this means a busy close to the year. Two animated films arrive weeks apart after a stretch focused on stage work.
