Adèle Exarchopoulos Lands First American Studio Lead Opposite Zoë Kravitz in Apple's Untitled Megan Park Film

Adèle Exarchopoulos has landed a lead role opposite Zoë Kravitz in Apple's untitled mystery movie directed by Megan Park, per Deadline. The casting marks the French actor's first American studio lead role — a milestone for a performer whose career has been built primarily in French-language cinema.
Park is directing from her own script and executive producing. Apple Studios and LuckyChap are producing the film in association with FilmNation, with Tom Ackerley and Bronto Payne overseeing for LuckyChap (Deadline). Kravitz was announced in the lead role in June, also per a Deadline exclusive.
Reps for Apple declined to comment on Exarchopoulos's role, and there is no word yet on the part she will play. Plot details for the untitled project remain under wraps.
Exarchopoulos broke out with her lead role opposite Léa Seydoux in Abdellatif Kechiche's 2013 romantic drama Blue Is the Warmest Color. At the film's 2013 Cannes premiere, she became the youngest-ever winner of the Palme d'Or, sharing the festival's top prize with Kechiche and Seydoux. She is a two-time César Award winner, France's equivalent of the Academy Awards. More recently, she voiced the character Ennui in Pixar's Inside Out 2, the highest-grossing animated film of all time.
Her upcoming French releases include Jeanne Herry's Garance (Another Day), opening in France on 23 September, and Christophe Honoré's Orange-Flavoured Wedding (Mariage au goût d'orange), opening in France on 9 December. She is represented by UTA, Adequat in France, and Nour Abdelnour and Youssef at Marquis.
For Exarchopoulos, the Apple project represents a bridge from the European art-house circuit that shaped her career into the American studio system. For Park, it follows her 2024 Sundance breakout My Old Ass, which Margot Robbie's LuckyChap also produced — the same company, co-founded by Ackerley and Robbie, that is behind this new film. Apple has not announced a release date or title.
