Mac Miller's Estate Unveils 'The Divine Feminine' 10th Anniversary Edition With Three Unreleased Tracks

Mac Miller's estate will release a 10th anniversary edition of his album The Divine Feminine on 2 October, featuring three previously unreleased songs recorded during the original album sessions, according to Billboard.

The estate dropped the first of those tracks, "Butterflies," on Friday, 21 August. The song was produced by Taylor Graves and features Thundercat on bass. The anniversary edition will be available on vinyl and digitally.

All three unreleased songs were laid down during the Divine Feminine sessions but never made the album's final cut. The original record arrived in September 2016 and peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200, the chart that ranks the most consumed albums in the United States each week.

Miller died in September 2018 from an accidental drug overdose at age 26.

The album has had a life beyond its release cycle. The track "Cinderella" resurged on TikTok and earned Miller a posthumous top 40 hit on the Hot 100 — Billboard's weekly singles chart — peaking at No. 25. That kind of after-the-fact chart activity is not unusual for catalogue tracks in the streaming era, when a viral moment can push an older song past current releases.

Alongside the anniversary edition, Miller's family launched an interactive website on Friday featuring archival material and media contributed by friends and collaborators. The site gives fans access to previously unseen work and personal contributions from people who were close to Miller during his career.
