Seth Rogen, Danny Boyle, and Colman Domingo Join TIFF Summit Speaker Lineup
The Toronto International Film Festival has locked in its Summit speaker lineup, adding Seth Rogen, Colman Domingo, Danny Boyle, and Nigerian media mogul Mo Abudu to a conference programme running September 10–16, 2026, with more than 70 sessions across three strands (Variety).
The Summit is the conference arm of TIFF: The Market, the festival's industry-facing programme. Charles Tremblay heads the operation, which folds the festival's dealmaking and conversation series into a single week for the global screen trade.
Rogen and Boyle join the Visionaries strand, which programmes moderated conversations with creators, executives, and innovators across the screen sector. Rogen arrives with two festival titles in tow: Babies, directed by Lauren Miller Rogen, and Tangles, an animated feature the couple produced together. At the Summit, he will discuss both films as well as the upcoming second season of The Studio, his Apple TV+ series about a fictional Hollywood studio. Boyle will reflect on his filmmaking career and talk about Ink, his new feature that opens the Venice Film Festival earlier in September.
Domingo lands in the Perspectives strand, which hosts panel discussions on the state of the global screen industries. He joins a roster that includes Sing Sing filmmakers Clint Bentley and Greg Kwedar, sales agents Roeg Sutherland and Glen Basner, and a range of international voices: Stephen Follows, Michael Dowse, Amanda Lebow, Moses Babatope, and Nyla Innuksuk. Previously announced Perspectives headliners are producer Christine Vachon and Pamela Koffler.
Abudu's addition was confirmed a day before the full lineup landed, broadening the Summit's international reach into West African media (The Hollywood Reporter; Screen Daily).
The Dialogues strand rounds out the programme with conversations between writers, directors, and producers. Speakers include Hirokazu Kore-eda, Yeon Sang-ho, Kat Sandler, Rick Hansen, Amber Midthunder, Broderick Johnson, Brad Kane, and Cody Lightning. Pam Abdy, Mike De Luca, Curry Barker, and Inde Navarrette were announced earlier.
Previously confirmed Visionaries headliners also include actor Gary Oldman, director Lee Chang-dong, and producer Robbie Brenner.
For an industry audience, the Summit's appeal is straightforward: the same people who finance, sell, and make the films screening at the festival are the ones holding court across the conference hall. Boyle opening Venice with Ink and then walking into a Toronto Summit conversation inside the same week is a scheduling signal — the autumn festival corridor, from Venice through Toronto, is where awards-season positioning and territory deals begin in earnest, and TIFF is staking its claim as the place where the conversation happens.
