BLACKPINK's JISOO and LISA Announce Solo Projects Hours Apart

Two of BLACKPINK's four members announced new solo releases within hours of each other on Monday, August 24. JISOO shared that her solo album, titled Click, is expected on September 4, while LISA revealed that her project Press Play will arrive on October 23. Billboard
JISOO announced Click with a video teaser featuring an off-kilter carnival scene populated by animatronic animals in the vein of Five Nights at Freddy's. The album follows her solo EP Amortage, released in February 2025, which she had been finishing earlier this summer, according to Billboard. Click marks her debut full-length solo album.
LISA, meanwhile, unveiled the cover art for Press Play, which shows her in a chic dress staring at the camera with her hair suspended mid-air. She also confirmed that the project's first single, titled 'SaWaDiKa', will be released on September 3 — one day before JISOO's album drops. Billboard
The announcements add to an already busy stretch for BLACKPINK's individual members. JENNIE is set to release her first solo EP by the end of August 2026 through her agency OA Entertainment, which confirmed the release on August 19. Billboard That means three of the group's four members will have solo music out within a roughly two-month window.
For fans, the timing means a steady run of new material through the autumn — JENNIE's EP first, then JISOO's Click and LISA's 'SaWaDiKa' single within a day of each other in early September, and LISA's full Press Play project in late October.
LISA's solo activity has been building since at least June, when her label LLOUD started a countdown on her official website promising new music within seven days, per a LLOUD announcement. That followed her June 2024 single 'Rockstar', which LLOUD announced ahead of its June 27 release, as reported by Rolling Stone.
JISOO's and LISA's announcements were made independently on social media, not as part of a coordinated group statement. Both projects carry release dates credited to the artists' own channels and labels rather than to BLACKPINK's longtime label home, YG Entertainment, which has historically overseen the group's collective and individual releases.
