Warner Chappell Promotes Gabz Landman to Executive Vice President, A&R
Warner Chappell Music has promoted Gabz Landman to Executive Vice President, A&R, the publishing company announced on Monday, August 24. Landman joined Warner Chappell in 2022 as Vice President, A&R, and was promoted to Senior Vice President in February 2025. The leap to EVP caps a four-year run during which her roster has come to span pop, country and electronic music. Her signings include Amy Allen, Laufey, John Ryan, Madison Beer, Lizzy McAlpine, The Chainsmokers, Delacey, Andrew Wyatt, Daniel Chetrit and Diplo.
The headline name on that list is Amy Allen, who won the Grammy for Songwriter of the Year, Non-Classical at both the 2025 and 2026 ceremonies — back-to-back wins that place her among the most decorated songwriters currently working. Allen's credits across those two Grammy cycles include songs for Olivia Rodrigo, Tate McRae, Sabrina Carpenter and Olivia Dean. Landman is both her publisher and her manager, a dual role that gives her a hand in both the business and the career-building sides of Allen's work.
The relationship goes back further than Warner Chappell. Landman first signed Allen for publishing at Artist Partner Group in 2017, before Allen had written for other artists. That early bet has paid off in chart numbers: Warner Chappell said Landman set up the writing session that paired Allen, Olivia Dean and John Ryan on "So Easy (To Fall in Love)," which reached No. 1 on Billboard's Pop Airplay chart — the radio airplay ranking for mainstream pop — in May.
Two other early signings have produced results in different corners of the chart. Cal Shapiro, signed early by Landman, co-wrote Alex Warren's "Ordinary" and has worked with Cameron Whitcomb. Carrie K, another early signing, co-wrote "Dashboard" and "American Cars" on Noah Kahan's album The Great Divide, released in April 2026, and also co-wrote "High Road" by Koe Wetzel and Jessie Murph, which reached No. 1 on Billboard's Country Airplay chart in December 2024.
Landman is currently working with Laufey, Diplo and Madison Beer on upcoming music, though no release dates have been confirmed.
Ryan Press, to whom Landman reports, said she has "a natural instinct for spotting and developing talent" and brings a "24/7 hustle" to everything she does. Industry recognition has followed: Landman was named to Variety's New Leaders list in 2023 and to Billboard's Women in Music and 40 Under 40 lists in 2025.
A&R — artists and repertoire — is the department that finds and signs songwriters and artists, then pairs them with collaborators, producers and songs. In a publishing company like Warner Chappell, the focus is on songwriters rather than recording artists: the goal is to place writers in rooms and on records that generate royalties. Landman's track record, from a first publishing deal struck in 2017 through two Grammy cycles and a pair of No. 1 airplay singles, is the case the company is making with this promotion.
