Taylor Swift's 'I Knew It, I Knew You' Reaches No. 1 on Billboard's Radio Songs Chart
Taylor Swift's "I Knew It, I Knew You" has reached No. 1 on Billboard's all-format Radio Songs chart, on the ranking dated 29 August 2026. The single drew 64.7 million airplay audience impressions for the tracking week of 14–20 August, according to Billboard.
The Radio Songs chart measures a song's weekly reach across more than 1,100 U.S. radio stations, tabulated by Mediabase and provided to Billboard by Luminate. The tracking metric is airplay audience impressions — an estimate of how many listeners heard the song, not how many times a station played it.
"I Knew It, I Knew You" is Swift's ninth career Radio Songs No. 1. Her first was "You Belong With Me" in 2009, which was also the first country crossover song to top the chart since it began in December 1990. Before that, three country songs had peaked at No. 2: Shania Twain's "You're Still the One" (1998), Faith Hill's "Breathe" (2000), and Swift's own "Love Story" earlier in 2009.

The song originates from the film Toy Story 5 and was inspired by the franchise's cowgirl character, Jessie, according to Billboard. Swift's official website describes it as the original song for "Disney-Pixar x Taylor Swift Toy Story 5."
The single's chart history extends well beyond radio. In June, it launched as Swift's 15th No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 — the magazine's flagship singles chart — and spent a second week at the top. It also debuted as her 11th No. 1 on the Streaming Songs chart, opened at No. 1 on the Top Movie Songs chart, and reached No. 1 on the ARIA Chart in Australia. In the U.K., it earned a second week as the country's No. 1 single in late June.
"I Knew It, I Knew You" became just the third Hot 100 No. 1 ever from an animated Disney movie, and the first from Disney's Pixar studio. On the format-specific airplay charts, it also made history. It became the first song by a woman ever to debut in the Country Airplay chart's top 10, and has since climbed to No. 7 on that survey. On Adult Pop Airplay, it jumped three spots to No. 1, giving Swift her 16th leader on that chart and moving her past Maroon 5 for the most No. 1s since the chart debuted in March 1996. The single also became her 29th top 10 on Pop Airplay and her 23rd on Adult Contemporary.
"I Knew It, I Knew You" is the second Radio Songs No. 1 in 2026 to come from a soundtrack, following HUNTR/X's "Golden" from KPop Demon Hunters, which led for a week in January.
