Snoop Dogg's ice cream brand Dr. Bombay is hiring an official International Ice Cream Taste Tester, and the role pays $10,000 a month — fully remote, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

Applications opened on 27 August 2026 through Deel.com/Snoop, according to Dairy Foods. Snoop Dogg announced the position himself in a video posted to his X account, and the hiring process is being handled in partnership with Deel, a global human resources firm, as Billboard reported on 28 August.

The job is a three-month fixed-term independent contractor engagement, not a permanent salaried position. The successful applicant will perform sensory evaluations of dairy-based ice cream products — a formal way of saying they taste ice cream and assess what they find. The role also involves tracking food and flavour trends across global markets and reporting back on culturally relevant developments.

It reports to someone called Dr. Maya, with regular check-ins between the taster and the wider Dr. Bombay team. English fluency is required, and the posting explicitly welcomes non-traditional applicants and creators, meaning a conventional food-science CV is not a prerequisite.

Dr. Bombay's existing range leans into nostalgia. Its flavours include Long Beach Fruit Cart, Sticky Caramel Apple Pie, and Peanut Butter Jelly Time, names that sit closer to childhood snack-aisle memories than to artisan gelato. The new taster would be evaluating products in that vein and helping steer where the range goes next.

The pay figure and remote structure are the details that have travelled fastest online, and for understandable reasons. A $10,000 monthly fee for a three-month contract works out to $30,000 over the engagement period, with no relocation or commuting required. The geographic openness — anyone, anywhere — is handled through Deel's international payroll infrastructure, which manages contractor payments and compliance across borders.

The opening sits at the intersection of celebrity consumer brands and the broader creator-economy playbook, where a well-known name launches a product line and recruits a public-facing role that doubles as marketing. The taste-tester title is genuine work, but it is also a story designed to travel — and it has.

Applications remain open at Deel.com/Snoop.
