Zac Posen has unveiled the GapStudio Fall 2026 collection — a 20-piece wardrobe for men and women that leans hard into denim, khaki and workwear. Priced from $34 to $198, the range landed on Gap's e-commerce site and in select stores globally on Friday, according to WWD.

GapStudio is Gap's high-end atelier, housed in the company's New York headquarters and designed to lift the brand's reputation for style and craftsmanship. Think of it as a limited-edition tier above the mainline — fewer pieces, more attention to construction. Posen, who joined Gap Inc. in February 2024 as executive vice president and creative director, has been building the label since its launch in April 2025 with Collection 01.

For Fall 2026, Posen returned to what Gap is known for. Denim sits at the centre, joined by shirting, the T-shirt, and utility and workwear pieces. Standout styles include a double-pocket denim jacket paired with pintuck jeans, a green herringbone peacoat with matching pleated parachute pants, and an indigo crop canvas jacket worn with canvas belted utility pants.

The physical footprint is deliberately small. Women's styles will be carried in 20 stores worldwide, while the men's offering lands at just three U.S. locations: Flatiron in New York, Chestnut Street in San Francisco, and The Grove in Los Angeles. Internationally, the collection reaches select markets across Europe and the Middle East, plus Taiwan, Japan and Mexico City. It is also available through Zalando, the Berlin-based online fashion retailer.

The campaign, photographed by Daniel Jackson, features model faces Esther McGregor and Alton Mason. Fashion and image direction came from Alastair McKimm, with Posen overseeing creative direction.

Posen has been visible on red carpets as well as in lookbooks. He created a custom GapStudio design for Kendall Jenner at the 2026 Met Gala on 4 May, and his "Happy Stripe" motif returned for the label's Summer 6296 drop in June. GapStudio's first collection was shot by Mario Sorrenti when it launched in spring 2025.

The Fall 2026 reveal arrives during an unusually busy stretch for Gap Inc. The company reported its second-quarter fiscal 2026 results on 27 August, the same day it announced a leadership transition at Old Navy. Earlier in the month, Old Navy Beauty Co. launched nationwide, Athleta released its fall campaign, and the Gap Encore membership program took over six days of New York Fashion Week access. Gap also announced collaborations with Victoria Beckham and Malbon, a partnership with Chalhoub Group to expand across the Gulf, and a deal with Iconic Brands Nordic to enter Nordic and Baltic markets.

For shoppers, the GapStudio pitch is straightforward: mainline Gap fabrics and references — denim, khaki, utility — executed with closer attention to cut and finish, at prices that sit between Gap's everyday range and what a designer label would charge.
