Gabriella Karefa-Johnson Curates Size-Inclusive Designer Shop on Depop

Stylist and editor Gabriella Karefa-Johnson has launched a curated shop on Depop, the resale platform, featuring designer and contemporary pieces in plus sizes — a category both luxury and secondhand retail have long underserved.
The shop, called "For the Girls," is part of Karefa-Johnson's Depop Shop Drop series and went live on Wednesday at 3 p.m. on depop.com/thegkj. Pieces are priced from $20 to $100 and span labels including Jean Paul Gaultier, Bottega Veneta, Manolo Blahnik, Prada, Versace, Altuzarra, Tory Burch and Staud, as well as designs from model Paloma Elsesser and brands Kiko Kostadinov and Puppets and Puppets, according to WWD (WWD).
What sets the capsule apart is its size range. "For the Girls" offers plus-size fashion from sizes 14 through 22, plus XL and XXL. Depop stated the shop provides pieces for consumer sizes typically underserved in both the designer and resale categories — a gap that has persisted even as the broader fashion industry has faced repeated calls for wider size availability.
Karefa-Johnson serves as Depop's 2026 official trends spokesperson, a role the company announced from its newsroom earlier this year. She has built her reputation as a stylist and fashion editor with a following of roughly 385,000 on Instagram (@gabriellak_j), where her styling work has drawn attention for its emphasis on body diversity on runways and in editorial shoots.
Resale — the secondary market where individuals buy and sell secondhand clothing — has grown into a significant segment of fashion retail, with platforms like Depop, Vestiaire Collective and The RealReal competing for shoppers who want designer goods at lower prices. Depop, owned by Etsy, has positioned itself toward a younger demographic of buyers and sellers.
For shoppers who wear plus sizes, the "For the Girls" drop addresses a practical frustration: finding designer and contemporary pieces in their sizes often means scanning resale listings with no guarantee of availability. The curated format narrows the search to a pre-selected range, all in extended sizes, at a price ceiling of $100.
The shop's Wednesday launch followed its announcement the preceding Tuesday.
