Netflix has ordered Arrivals: A New Manifest Mystery, a spinoff of the supernatural drama Manifest, more than three years after the original series wrapped its fourth and final season. The streaming platform announced the new series on 28 August 2026 — a date chosen deliberately as a nod to Flight 828, the missing airliner at the centre of Manifest's central mystery (The Hollywood Reporter).
Arrivals is set in the same world as Manifest but follows an entirely new group of characters. According to the logline, a mysterious plane crash-lands in Denver. The passengers emerge with no memory of who they are, where they came from, or why they are there (The Hollywood Reporter).
Manifest creator Jeff Rake returns as co-creator and co-showrunner alongside Margaret Easley and Laura Putney. The executive producer roster includes Robert Zemeckis and Jack Rapke of Compari Entertainment, Len Goldstein of Tall Baby Productions, and Jacqueline Levine. Warner Bros. Television, the studio behind the original series, produces Arrivals as well (The Hollywood Reporter).
The Manifest journey is itself a story about how a show survives. The series ran for three seasons on NBC from 2018 to 2021, then was cancelled just as its first two seasons began streaming on Netflix and drawing large audiences there.
