Howard Stern's long-running SiriusXM radio show is getting a second life as a weekly filmed series on HBO Max, with new episodes landing every Thursday starting September 17.

The series, simply titled The Howard Stern Show, takes the week's SiriusXM broadcast and adapts it into a streamable episode for HBO Max's global audience. The premiere is set for Thursday, September 17, 2026, at 12:01 a.m. PT (3:01 a.m. ET), with subsequent episodes following each Thursday after that, according to Deadline.

The deal brings together three parties: HBO Max, Howard Stern's own production company, and SiriusXM, the satellite radio service where Stern has hosted his show for nearly two decades. The Howard Stern Production Company, Inc. serves as the series' executive producer. Casey Bloys, Chairman and CEO of HBO and HBO Max Content, welcomed Stern to the platform in a statement confirming the partnership with SiriusXM.

For Stern's audience, the arrangement means the radio show they already listen to will be packaged each week as filmed content on a streaming platform — giving the broadcast a visual dimension and an on-demand home alongside its live SiriusXM airing. New episodes arrive the Thursday after each week's radio show, meaning viewers can catch up on Stern's interviews and segments without a SiriusXM subscription.

The weekly cadence puts The Howard Stern Show into a Thursday slot on HBO Max's schedule — a day the platform regularly uses for high-profile original releases. Whether the filmed format draws a new audience beyond Stern's existing radio listenership is something the first few weeks of viewing figures will begin to answer.

For now, the structure is straightforward: one radio show per week, one filmed episode per week, available globally on HBO Max every Thursday.
