Radiohead Announce 16-Show Australia Tour for 2027, First Since 2012
Radiohead will return to Australia in 2027 for a 16-show arena tour — their first in the country since 2012 — opening with a four-night stand at Perth's RAC Arena on 3 May and closing at Sydney's Afterpay Arena on 1 June. The tour, presented by Frontier Touring, was announced on 7 September, according to Billboard.
The schedule is built around multi-night residencies rather than one-offs. Perth hosts on 3, 4, 6 and 7 May. Melbourne's Rod Laver Arena gets six nights: 13, 14, 16, 17, 19 and 20 May. Sydney's Afterpay Arena follows with six more: 25, 26, 28 and 29 May, plus 31 May and 1 June. After Australia, the band plays five shows in Saitama, Japan — and has confirmed there will be no additional 2027 concerts elsewhere, per Billboard.
Guitarist Ed O'Brien had hinted at an Australian headline tour in March 2026, months before the formal announcement, Rolling Stone Australia reported. The 2027 dates follow a series of European residency shows in late 2025, which were Radiohead's first performances after several years off the road.
Tickets will not go on sale in the conventional first-come, first-served drop. Instead, fans must register through a system the band has laid out on radiohead.com. Registration opens at 3:00 PM AWST / 5:00 PM AEST on Monday, 7 September and closes at the same times on Thursday, 10 September — a three-day window. Registrants provide their name, email address, mobile phone number and country of residence.
On Friday, 11 September, registrants receive an email telling them whether they have been allocated an unlock code. Each code is tied to one city the registrant nominated and allows the purchase of up to four tickets across any dates in that city. Receiving a code does not guarantee a ticket. Buyers must join the ticketing platform's queue at 9:00 AM local time on Tuesday, 15 September, when tickets go on sale to validated registrants with codes. Those who miss out on a code are automatically waitlisted and may be offered tickets in further sales up until the show.
Prices are fixed and published. Standing tickets cost $199 AUD inclusive of fees. Seated tickets range from $139 to $349 AUD. "Fast Track Status" packages — a premium queue-access option — cost $649 AUD. Each ticket includes a $2 AUD donation split between Greenpeace Australia Pacific and the Australian Marine Conservation Society, and the band has said it will match the total amount donated, according to radiohead.com.
Anti-scalping measures are built in. Tickets can only be transferred or resold through the official ticketing platform's transfer and face-value resale facility, which opens a few weeks before each show. Tickets or unlock codes listed on reseller sites or above face value will be monitored and subject to cancellation.
For fans, the registration window is narrow and the rules are strict. The structure is designed to keep tickets out of the secondary market — but it also means anyone who wants in needs to act before 5:00 PM AEST on 10 September.
